”Character from Alice in Wonderland
painting the roses red”
- Pattern by Hilarie Berzins

This doll was inspired by one of the illustrations from ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

‘The roses were white, but there were three Gardeners busily painting them red’!

The face of this gardener expresses it all of the hopelessness of the situation! One can almost imagine him hear the Queen of Hearts calling, “off with their heads, off with their heads!!!”
