This doll was made for a swap in which we had to make the doll all in one colour but
add just one item in a different colour. I made her all in white and did the wings in red.
She is called Starlight as all her beads sparkle like lights on her.
Sakari
I was thrilled to be invited by Patti Culea to contribute towards her recent book "Creative Cloth Doll
Faces". Sakari was born for this book and she is thrilled to be amongst some of the wonderful artists
from the Fibre, textile and Clothdoll world.
Rani
This is Rani made from Patti Culea's pattern that was used for Sakari. The body fabric and hair
the trims, the beads everything used to make her is from India. I purchased the fabric from the
roadside stalls, the hair from a discount box in a shop. Even the stuffing used in her is purchased
in India. Shoes are made from flower petals and scraps of fabric used for embellishing.
The purpose of doing this is to show the ladies interested in making art dolls, that one can make art dolls from
materials found wherever you are. Just open your minds to creativity.
Jester
I took a work shop in Alberqurque, USA recently in which I made this jester.
The workshop was given by Marge Gorman. The doll is fully armurtured and a
fun doll to make. I hope to make another one as I enjoyed making him so much.
Marge is a wonderful teacher and we all had a great time in her workshop. Thanks Marge.
